Rep. Michelle Park Steel, seeking her third term in California's 45th Congressional District, is facing an intensely close race as vote counting continues. As of November 21, with approximately 98% of the votes tallied, Steel has received 156,096 votes (49.9%), while her opponent, Derek Tran, has garnered 156,576 votes (50.1%), leaving a margin of 480 votes. This marks an increase from the previous day’s margin of 397 votes.

In Orange County, Steel leads by 3,734 votes, but in Los Angeles County, Tran maintains a 4,214-vote lead.
