H Mart, the largest Asian supermarket chain in the U.S., celebrated the grand opening of its Harry Hines store in Dallas, Texas, on October 23. The company is intensifying its nationwide expansion, solidifying its position as the leading Asian market chain. The newly opened H Mart Harry Hines store, located at 22534 Royal Lane, Dallas, spans approximately 142,000 square feet, making it the largest H Mart store in the nation. The store operates daily from 9 AM to 10 PM, open year-round.
The Harry Hines store is H Mart’s ninth location in Texas, the fastest-growing state for the chain. Nationwide, Texas ranks fourth in the number of H Mart stores, following California, New York, and New Jersey, tied with Washington. H Mart has already surpassed competing Chinese and Japanese supermarket chains in both store count and revenue. Riding the wave of the K-pop and K-food craze, H Mart’s customer base has expanded beyond the Korean and Asian communities to include mainstream demographics such as White, Hispanic, and Black customers.
To celebrate the opening, H Mart has planned various events. Customers spending a certain amount at the Harry Hines store will receive assorted gifts, and those spending $200 or more can purchase select items for just $1 during a special promotion. Additionally, new sign-ups for the H Mart Smart Rewards Card or existing customers who update their email will receive a free H Mart insulated mug.
The Harry Hines store’s food hall will feature seven brands, including Korean-style Chinese cuisine at Paik’s Noodle (Hong Kong Banjum 0410), Korean soft tofu stew specialist Sogongdong Tofu House, Korean street food expert Joe’s Tteokbokki, Korean fried chicken specialist Don Chicken, Japanese katsu restaurant It’s Katsu, Korean soup specialist Tang, and hot dog vendor OK-Dog.H Mart President Brian Kwon stated, “We are thrilled to bring the authentic taste of Asia to the Harry Hines community.

”Since opening its first store in Woodside, New York, in 1982, H Mart now operates over 100 stores across 18 U.S. states, employing more than 6,000 staff and maintaining five regional distribution and processing centers, establishing itself as the largest international supermarket chain in the U.S.
