이번 핼로윈 주말을 맞아 30일과 31일 워싱턴 DC 조지타운에 많은 인파가 몰릴 것으로 예상돼 일부 도로가 폐쇄되고 주차도 제한된다.
메트로폴리탄 경찰에 따르면 이들 이틀 동안 각각 오후 3시부터 다음날 오전 6시까지 K 스트릿, 워터 스트릿, 위스콘신 애브뉴, M 스트릿, 26번가의 일부 구간이 폐쇄된다.
또 이들 기간 동안 오후 5시 30분부터 이튿날 오전 4시까지는 그레이스 스트릿, 사우스 스트릿, 27~31번가 등의 일부 구간 통행도 완전 차단된다.
하지만 이들 폐쇄 도로 구간 내에 거주하고 있거나 근무처가 있을 경우 이를 밝힐 수 있는 증명서를 경찰에 제시하면 통행허락을 받을 수 있다.
