Korean-Led Space Company ‘Firefly’ Begins Trading on Nasdaq

Firefly Aerospace, a space company led by Korean CEO Jason Kim, began trading on the Nasdaq on August 7, surging over 50% above its initial public offering (IPO) price on its debut day. Firefly’s shares opened at approximately $70, a 56% increase from the IPO price of $45 set the previous day, and closed the first day of trading around $60. Based on the opening price, the company’s market capitalization approached $10 billion.
