Lee Jung-Im Dance Company to Perform Traditional Korean Dance at LA Zoo
The Lee Jung-Im Dance Company will showcase traditional Korean dance at the Los Angeles Zoo as part of its grand Lunar New Year celebration for the Year of the Snake. The event, featuring diverse cultural performances, highlights contributions from various Asian communities.

Specially invited to the festivities, the Lee Jung-Im Dance Company announced its participation in the parade and performances on February 1. The group will join the morning parade starting at 10:00 AM, followed by two performances of Korean traditional dance at 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM alongside other Asian community organizations.

The Lee Jung-Im Dance Company remarked, “Our troupe, which garnered attention for its outstanding performances during the Asian Drum Festival at the Korean Festival, is proud to join this event. Other community performance groups that participated in the festival have also been invited to the LA Zoo's Lunar New Year celebration.”


According to the LA Zoo, the celebration includes:

Bilingual Storytelling and Crafts: Activities like creating personalized red dragon palaces.
Animal Feeding Tours: Guided tours featuring animal exhibits and photography opportunities.
World of Well Wishes: A wall for writing New Year wishes.
Special Animal Shows: Unique performances and carousel rides.
The event is included with zoo admission, with additional benefits for GLAZA members.
