Two Asian men were arrested by the police for openly running a prostitution ring in a residential area of Irvine, a community heavily populated by Koreans and other Asian groups. The men were caught distributing flyers advertising prostitution services by placing them on parked cars in the area, including neighborhoods where many Koreans reside.
The Irvine Police Department announced on the 18th that they had uncovered a brothel operating out of a home in Irvine and arrested two men on charges of promoting prostitution and human trafficking. Additionally, three young women in their 20s and 30s were rescued from the location. Before leaving the premises, these women were provided with information about resources for human trafficking victims, according to the police.
After obtaining a search warrant and conducting an investigation, the police confirmed that prostitution was taking place in the home and arrested two Chinese men, aged 51 and 36.
The men reportedly advertised the brothel by distributing flyers with contact details, including the address of the home where prostitution occurred, to nearby parked vehicles. According to the police, the flyers contained messages such as "Call if you want to have a good time."
