Following the historic achievement of Han Kang, the first Korean to win the Nobel Prize in Literature, her books have been experiencing sellout issues. Korean bookstores in Southern California are working hard to secure more copies of her works.

Jung Geon-su, the owner of Bandi Books in LA’s Koreatown, stated on the 17th, “New stock arrived today. Although it's not enough, we can at least partially meet the demand of Korean-American readers.” On this day, Jung was all smiles as he displayed the newly arrived copies of Han Kang’s The Vegetarian.
