Hyundai Motor Group is launching a comprehensive safety inspection for its electric vehicles.
Approximately 430,000 vehicles sold under the Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis brands will be inspected, covering nine critical safety-related items, including battery voltage and the cooling system.
On the 13th, Hyundai Motor Group announced that it would offer a "Electric Vehicle Safety Inspection Service." This service is free of charge for electric vehicle owners who visit any of the group's service centers nationwide.
This initiative was introduced to address rising market concerns regarding electric vehicle fires and to reassure customers while supporting safe driving.
The inspection targets all models of passenger and small commercial electric vehicles from Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis. The inspection will cover nine safety-related items, including insulation resistance, voltage deviation, cooling system, cable and connector damage, undercarriage impact or damage, and fault codes. Customers interested in the service can schedule an appointment by contacting the respective customer centers of each brand, choosing a convenient time and location on weekdays or Saturdays, and then visiting the service center.
Hyundai (including Genesis) customers can use the service at 22 direct High-Tech Centers and 1,234 Blue Hands locations nationwide, while Kia customers can have their vehicles inspected at 18 direct Service Centers and 757 Auto Q locations across the country.
A Hyundai Motor Group representative stated, "Through this inspection, we aim to alleviate concerns about electric vehicles and ensure that customers can drive safely."
