할러데이 시즌을 맞아 다수의 어린이 장난감들이 플라스틱 및 납 성분 등의 문제로 안전성에 문제가 되고 있다.

유에스 공중관심리서치그룹이 발표한 ‘위험한 장난감’ 명단을 살펴보면 인기 제조사인 마텔, V테크 등의 상품으로 엘모 런치백, 브라이트 라이츠 폰, 래프&런 러닝 폰, 터치&필 베이비 걸 등 16개 장난감이 위험한 장난감으로 지적됐다. 이들은 소음, 질식, 납 성분 노출 등의 위험성을 갖고 있었다.

문제의 제품들을 살펴보면 Bright Lights Phone(제조사: VTech), Laugh&Learn Learning Phone(Fisher Price), Kota and Pals Stompers Triceratops(Plauskool), Secret Saturdays
